Lack counts to f(E) conversion
Looking mainly at “lowest energy channel” - corresponds to ~50keV Electron energy
Low-energy protons are not seen by this detector but p+ are registered during solar proton events
Since Launch:
- Apogee moved from tail (~00:00 hrs LT) into solar wind (12:00 LT) and back
- 2 major solar particle events (July 2000, November 2000)
- many geomagnetic storms
(references to “flares”in the low-E proton environment should be avoided)
