Interim solution for background files in SAS:
Provide event lists from collection of high latitude pointings - sources and flares removed, cosmetic defects “filled in”
Extract background in same DETX,DETY co-ordinates as source region
- No collection available with all filters, which combined with N_H variation reduces utility for soft band
- Different selection expressions - earlier version of processing
- Need appropriate normalisation
