OVERVIEW
events >15 keV
Sensitive to very high energy protons
ß
Very weak correlation with soft protons flares
Events above the upper threshold in CCD9
(the closest to MOS camera)
SPECTRAL ANALYSIS
E > 150 keV THIN Þ E > 115 keV THICK
From MOS2 in rev 74 during intense and hard phase (0-3500 s):
Spectrum > 80 keV well fitted by exponential law
ß
~1 cts/s above 115 keV in MOS2
ß
~
3500 "damaging protons" hit the 6 MOS 1 peripheral CCDs during 1 hour of exposure
